Rethinking Sweden's biggest podcast in positive psychology
Lyckopodden needed a facelift on their existing design. The client had found my branding and designs from various previous projects and she loved them. "I love everything you do and I want my site to look like yours", she said, and after a spontaneous meeting of her explaining her needs she later contacted me to redesign her site.
A new design would help the brand feel fresh, modern, clean and in line with the brand and its values.
Make the site more modern and give it a clean and inspiring feel using the client's choice of fonts and colors.
The podcast is more than a podcast, so the concept was changed to a studio called lyckoverkstan.se with a podcast as one of the pillars among talks and future projects like books, retreats and collabs, etc.
The scope was very compressed and short, so I needed to prioritize the most important parts of the redesign to implementation and launch.
REDESIGN & ITERATE
IMPLEMENT & LAUNCH
MY ROLE & RESULT
WEB DESIGN, LOGOTYPE, STRATEGY
What started off as a designer of the facelift from the existing content, ended with adding more to the concept and doing lots of technical implementation and support, copy and iterations. Ideally, more time is needed for branding and deliveries as the solo designer and developer of a new brand and site but I voluntarily gave the client more work outside the scope from my own passion about and driving force in mental health and helping people becoming happier and healthier.
After researching the brand and their vision, I created moodboards, wireframes and design of the new site according to the client's choice of fonts an colors. Going through the entire design process for branding and web, I designed, implemented and published the finished result using Wordpress according to the compressed timeline of the project, while giving the client advice on how to implement design thinking to communicate the value to clients, listeners, partners and potential listeners.
Designing a logotype was not part of the project but sometimes inspiration just comes to you, so I proposed the new idea to the client and they loved it. No specs or guidelines on the brand and new design was delivered, which I certainly would have if it was included in the project. However, my advice and strategies were appreciated and the client wanted to hire me as social media manager as well.
